Guided Munro Wellness Walks: Ben Chonzie

Come walk a munro with me!

Have you always wanted to get up on a munro but never had the confidence and/or skills to actually do this? Then this walk is for you! A mental wellbeing walk with Walks ‘n’ Talks. Your opportunity to spend an amazing day walking, talking and being listened to, whilst taking in scenic views on top and surounding of Ben Chonzie.

One of the easiest Munro’s for beginners is Ben Chonzie (also known as Ben-y-Hone, or in Gaelic Beinn a’ Chòinnich, which means mossy mountain) right along Glen Lednock. The Ben is ‘only’ 931m high and it has a quick and easy ascent on a mountain track for most of the way up. On top of Ben Chonzie you have the most amazing views over the southern Highlands and Perthshire.

You can expect to come away from the day with a huge sense of achievement, new friends, relaxed and revitalised - with helpful guidance and tools for going forward in day to day life.

With a reasonable level of fitness, the walk up Ben Chonzie will take around 4 hours from the roadside, but just to be safe we count on 5+ hours for the full walk. We might want to take a long lunch break on top of the Ben to enjoy the views. The walk up Ben Chonzie from Glen Lednock is around 8 miles, although the hill is pretty steady it could still be a bit challenging for someone that hasn’t hill walked before.

I will be there to support your mental fitness as well as your physical fitness - in a positive, friendly way. Enjoy a walk alongside a certified lifecoach with a relaxed group of likeminded people.

The guided walk is run on a 1:6 ratio

Costs: £55pp
